The meeting of the teaching staff of the College, held on June 25, 2010 formed the following committees and appointed coordinators for utilization of UGC Developments grants received by the College during the current plan period (2007-2012), as per UGC Guidelines. The Committees will function with immediate effect.

The Board is expected to have meeting at least once in every academic year and some of the important functions and duties of the Board may be highlighted as follows :
1.To define its own perspective in the light of local needs, social justice and development,
2.To formulate and prepare the proposals for development after identifying its needs and deciding on its priorities.
3.To help the College to effectively implement the various programmes approved by the state government and UGC.
4.To device measures to strengthen the administrative infrastructure in the College
5.To bring about necessary academic reforms,
6.The activities and functions of various committees like Library Committee, Purchase Committee, Advisory Committee of Equal Opportunity Cell etc. will be reported and reviewed by the Planning Board.

The Advisory Committee shall review the implementation of various schemes and programmes for the welfare of the disadvantaged and marginalized groups of the society and other related activities undertaken by the College as well as implementation of reservation policy in admission and recruitment for SC, ST, PH, OBC (non-creamy layer) and others.
E. APPOINTMENT OF ADVISER :
The meeting appointed Mr Malsawmliana, Dept. of History as an Adviser of the Equal Opportunity Cell of the College. The duties and functions of the Adviser may be highlighted as follows :
a) To oversee/monitor various welfare schemes/programmes sponsored by the Government of India/State Government, UGC or any agency/organization as well as those devised by the College/affiliating university for the disadvantaged groups for their effective implementation,
b) Be responsible for the effective functioning of SC/ST Cell and other such Cells/Centres dealing with the problems of different socially disadvantaged groups,
c) Convene the meeting of In-charge of other Committees/Programmes dealing with social issues such as Gender Sensitization Committee against sexual harassment (GSCASH), National Service Scheme (NSS) etc. to review their activities.
d) He/she shall submit the progress/review report to the Principal who shall, in turn, forward the report to the UGC, affiliating University and the Planning Board of the College.
F. APPOINTMENT OF COORDINATORS :
The Committee appointed the following Lecturers as Coordinators of various Centres and Cells under Equal Opportunity schemes/Cell:
